Other updates will include enhanced online functionality and “community building features.” We have known for some time now that private races and in-game chat have been in the works, with a realistic release date sometime this summer. However, damage may be a bit further off in the fuall of this, as cited by IGN. Stay tuned for the full interview, released tomorrow, where Yamauchi is expected to comment on the possibility of developing a complete Formula 1 title in the future. |

All i want to see is tire tracks when you happen to brake traction |

Like, for example, my exhuast system. After a race it gets 3% damage. When at 90% it is unuseable, but you can pay to repair it. If it gets to 100% it gets removed from your car and if you don't have a backup part* then you must forfeit any more races if it's a series, otherwise you can't drive with the car. *Could be either a different level of part or stock part. Perhaps, multiple of part? That'll teach you punks using stage 4 Turbos on Eclipses, muahaha. |

It's gonna be so epic when my 22B or Type R drift in through a turn, the bumper only millimeters away from the inside corner, and i accidentally mess up, causing the bumper to totally rip off, forcing my cars to finish the lap without a face! |

But hopefully they'll either make the repairs free or have the repair marker system of NFS Prostreet. Maybe one repair marker for completing a race or something like that. Then it would still encourage people to drive sensibly, but without the frustration of needing to earn a few hundred grand just to repair a car like the Zonda. |

IE, if you knick your front left side of the car on something pretty harsh, it knocks the car out of alignment on top of tearing off the front fender pannel. |

Programming them, on the other hand...we'll see what they come up with. This is, after all, the first time they'll be doing it. |

I hope repairs are at least free or you'd have to save up a lot more before entering events, especially rally stages. This post has been edited by RalliKai on Apr 19 2008, 01:08 PM |
